give & take
a monthly exchange of knowledge & curiosity
What do you know? What do you want to know? Give & Take uses two simple questions to launch an interactive evening of presentations, performances and socially-focused games. There are no experts or laypeople at Give & Take, just a curious community with knowledge to share. Whether exploring knot-tying techniques, natural history dioramas or the cultural importance of the cup, Give & Take pools the know-how of participants, sparking conversation and building relationships across disciplines and skill-sets.
Works Progress started Give & Take in 2009 as way to encourage teaching and learning between members of a community. With the help of a new website that asks visitors to share what they know and want to know, Works Progress continues to design and host this monthly gathering.
Give & Take is funded in part by the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund, as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
