"WELCOME TO WATER BAR, WATER IS ALL WE HAVE."

Water Bar is a collaborative public art project. It is, most simply, a bar that serves local tap waters. Water Bar is also an open space for the generation of conversations, connections, and creative thinking around the life-sustaining, precarious, communal activity of drinking water. This evolving, itinerant, living project exists as a series of pop-up bars - staffed by environmental scientists, activists, artists, and others - appearing at various locations and events. We invite Water Bar visitors to engage with one another, as well as with project collaborators, who tend bar and share their knowledge of water and water issues. Water Bar is a place to talk, to quench your thirst, to inquire, and to share personal stories and reflections.

Help us open 'Water Bar & Public Studio' in Minneapolis!

More than just a public art project, Water Bar functions as an experiential learning laboratory for emerging environmental leaders, and an art-sustainability incubator for communities. Click the link above to learn what's next for the project!
